Terms and Conditions & Responsibility for Overseas Travel

AdopteeBridge LLC Bridge to Korea Birthland Tours Terms and Conditions

I am solely responsible for arranging and paying for my own travel, including all airfares or other transportation costs to and from South Korea as well as any local transportation costs not included in the AdopteeBridge LLC--Bridge to Korea Birthland Tours tour package fee.

It is my responsibility to be in possession of all valid legal travel documents required by South Korea and my country of residence, including a valid passport required for leaving my country of residence or citizenship and entering/leaving South Korea and reentering my country of residence or citizenship. No refund of the program cost will be made, nor will any expense incurred by myself due to forgotten, lost, invalid or expired travel documents before or during the program will be reimbursed by AdopteeBridge LLC--Bridge to Korea Birthland Tours.

AdopteeBridge LLC--Bridge to Korea Birthland Tours begins and ends at the time and place stated on the itinerary and confirmation materials which will be sent to travelers via email. In the event a traveler arrives early or late, it is my responsibility to contact AdopteeBridge--Bridge to Korea Birthland Tours. I understand I may incur additional costs for transportation or lodging. I understand I have the option to opt out of activities or request a change (due to Post Adoption Services), but I will not be refunded for any activities, included meals, transportation, or hotel accommodations that are arranged as part of the tour package.

I understand AdopteeBridge LLC--Bridge to Korea Birthland Tours does not recommend the purchase of non-refundable airline tickets and is not responsible for expenses incurred by travelers if such tickets are purchased. Or, if travelers make other such pre-paid reservations such as non-refundable hotel reservations, until the minimum enrollment has been reached for the tour in which the traveler has enrolled. AdopteeBridge LLC--Bridge to Korea Birthland Tours does not provide the traveler with any travel insurance. We advise you to investigate this independently and it is highly recommended all tour participants have travel insurance. It is the traveler’s responsibility for evaluating and determining the type, extent, and levels of any insurance coverage they need or desire for their planned travel period, as well as purchasing travel insurance if they so choose.

I understand AdopteeBridge LLC--Bridge to Korea Birthland Tours reserves the right to cancel Bridge to Korea tours in the event the enrollment does not reach the budgeted minimum number of travelers. In addition, AdopteeBridge LLC--Bridge to Korea Birthland Tours reserves the right to cancel tours if the U.S. State Department deems it to unsafe/issues a TRAVEL WARNING. In the event of cancellation, those enrolled may receive a refund up to the full program cost; however, if cancellation comes shortly before the program start date & is caused by acts or occurrences beyond our control, AND advance deposits made to program vendors/providers cannot be refunded to us, then the refund of the package fee will be affected accordingly.

Cancellation Penalties

SUMMER 2024:

On or before March 1, 2024: Cancellation penalty of $350

March 2-May 1, 2024: Cancellation penalty of $1,500

No refunds will be made after May 2, 2024

AdopteeBridge LLC--Bridge to Korea Birthland Tours reserves the right to make any necessary changes to the itinerary as a result, either before or during the tour should it become necessary or advisable for the comfort or well-being of travelers, or upon damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity of any vehicle, equipment or machinery, or in transporting or lodging the travelers or for any reason whatsoever to alter the itinerary or arrangements, such alterations or changes may be made without prior notice or liability or penalty to AdopteeBridge LLC--Bridge to Korea Birthland Tours.

 Personal expenses are not included in the “tour package.” Personal expenses incurred before/during the trip include:

·           Required tip for in-country staff ($100 USD per person + $25 USD per person if traveling on Jeju Island extension)

·           Personal side trip transportation expenses (as applicable)

·           Personal purchases

·           Some meals

·           Gifts and donations to (as applicable)

·           Travel insurance (if purchasing)

·           Passport application fee

·           K-ETA application fee

AdopteeBridge LLC—Bridge to Korea Birthland Tours Responsibility for Travel Outside of the United States

Travel outside of the United States is subject to conditions which are out of control of AdopteeBridge LLC. Bridge to Korea Birthland tour clients travel overseas do so at their own risk.

 AdopteeBridge LLC has no control over the personnel, equipment or operations of any air, water or surface carrier, ship line, bus, limousine company, transportation company, hotel, restaurant, or any other person or entity furnishing services, products or accommodations. All said suppliers are independent contractors and organizations. AdopteeBridge LLC, its staff and volunteers are not liable for any injury, damage, loss, expense, accident, delay, inconvenience, or irregularity which may be caused or contributed to by such independent contractors or organizations.

 AdopteeBridge LLC--Bridge to Korea Birthland Tours neither accepts nor assumes liability or responsibly of any kind or nature for any fault, defaults, errors, omissions or negligence of any person, school, association, company or other type of service provider used in connection with the delivery of the programs; nor for any loss, injury or damage to person or property connected with accommodations, transportation or other types of services.

 AdopteeBridge LLC--Bridge to Korea Birthland Tours is not responsible, directly or indirectly, for cancellations, delays, amendments, loss or additional costs incurred by participants due to acts of nature, civil unrest or disturbances, strikes, work stoppages, fire or arson, thefts, inclement weather, or pandemics.

I am participating in AdopteeBridge LLC--Bridge to Korea Birthland Tour, and hereby release, waive, indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AdopteeBridge LLC staff and volunteers from and against any and all claims, for bodily injury demands or causes of action of any type whatsoever, including property damage or personal injury, damages, losses and expenses, including but not limited to attorney fees, arising in any way related to my participation.

I am aware there are possible risks and dangers associated with my participation. I assume full responsibility for any injuries or damages I may sustain because of my participation, including travel to or from the trip destination. I assume liability for and agree to indemnify and to hold AdopteeBridge LLC and its employees and volunteers harmless for all claims or damages caused, in whole or in part, by me and any negligent, intentional, or other act or omission on my part.
